cayu.observability.events
Public Cayu API. Definitions are grouped by their public source module, and definitions from private implementation modules appear on their package’s page; adding a symbol does not move existing links. The import shown at each entry is a supported public namespace. Read the Python API overview and install the required extra.
EventSink
Section titled “EventSink”from cayu.observability import EventSinkDestination for at-least-once runtime event delivery.
A crash after emit returns but before Cayu records completion can cause
the same immutable public event to be retried. Public event identities are
presentation aliases, not execution, claim, or delivery authority. Built-in
sinks that require genuine duplicate suppression are dispatched through
exact runtime-owned adapters that cannot be overridden by subclasses.
Bases: ABC.
emit (method)
Section titled “emit (method)”async EventSink.emit(event: Event) -> NoneEmit one event.
emit_timing (method)
Section titled “emit_timing (method)”async EventSink.emit_timing(record: RuntimeTimingRecord) -> NoneObserve a best-effort timing record, outside durable event delivery.

InMemoryEventSink

emit (method)
Section titled “emit (method)”async InMemoryEventSink.emit(event: Event) -> Noneemit_timing (method)
Section titled “emit_timing (method)”async InMemoryEventSink.emit_timing(record: RuntimeTimingRecord) -> Noneinit (method)
Section titled “init (method)”InMemoryEventSink.__init__() -> None
