Repository agent

Prerequisites: Python, uv, Git, rg, and a supported host for the selected workspace/runner. The coding preset checks its local workspace requirements before generation. Remote execution adapters require their own configuration.

Terminal window
uvx cayu new repo-agent --preset coding
cd repo-agent
uv sync --extra dev
uv run --no-sync cayu inspect --json
uv run --no-sync cayu check --fail-on warning --json
uv run --no-sync pytest -q
uv run --no-sync cayu eval run

Read the generated README and AGENTS.md before running against a repository. Choose an explicit workspace root and scoped provider configuration. Begin with a synthetic repository and one bounded task, such as adding an empty-input check and its meaningful regression test.

Require a real diff, passing relevant tests, retained artifacts and a clear terminal session outcome. Include an authorization case for a command or path outside the allowed boundary. A final answer saying “tests passed” does not replace the test process’s exit code and output.

Keep file/terminal tools, policies, environment construction and completion rules in their generated owning modules. Use a review workflow to inspect the actual change before publishing it.

Read environments, verified work and coding-agent instructions.
