cayu.external_wait_host

Public Cayu API. Definitions are grouped by their public source module, and definitions from private implementation modules appear on their package’s page; adding a symbol does not move existing links. The import shown at each entry is a supported public namespace. Read the Python API overview and install the required extra.

from cayu import ExternalWaitHost

Discover durable responsibility; native receiving admission arbitrates workers.

The caller owns scheduling and shutdown. A page does not claim work: a process that dies leaves the same native handoff available to another configured host. Permission failures propagate. Row conflicts remain explicit failures in the returned page while independent rows continue; they are never exclusion evidence.

ExternalWaitHost.__init__(adapter: SessionExternalWaitAdapter, *, context: ExternalWaitContext)
async ExternalWaitHost.service_once(*, scope: ExternalWaitScope, source: str, after: str='', limit: int=EXTERNAL_WAIT_PAGE_SIZE) -> ExternalWaitHostPage
async ExternalWaitHost.run(*, scope: ExternalWaitScope, source: str, stop: asyncio.Event, interval_s: float=1.0) -> None

Explicit polling loop. Cancellation propagates; it never cancels the external job.
